Any Information on this Vintage Breitling Navitimer PVD?

I posted pics of the Navitimer in PVD below, was trying to find out more information on them but it seems there is nothing online about them, could the resident experts help me out with information on the piece?

there's no 8806 PVD version in the catalog I have , only the SS (8806) and 18K gold (8806/5)


might be done be the previous owner ?

Nopes, it was bought this way direct from the Breitling Dealer in late 70s Kuwait, its an original PVD Navitimer from Breitling. I've found an earlier 7806 Black Steel Navitimer online but none with this dial configuration and finishing.

Trying to get to the bottom of this mystery.

Jean-Michel also has black 8806 on his website ( www.navitimer.net )
but no further info , so they really do exist :-)
