I haven't purchased a watch lately (for myself) and I think it's time to expand my collection. I've been eyeing the black faced PRC200 for A WHILE now, but I'm not sure how versatile it is with the yellow chrono hands. Can any owners of this watch describe their impressions? I'm the type that gets dressed and then chooses the watch that fits the outfit. I wouldn't want to purchase a watch that never gets worn, because it doesn't match anything. Thanks for any responses.

I absolutely love mine. I don't own many quartz watches, but this one is by far the nicest one I've ever owned. The bracelet looks very dressy, and the applied (metal encased) dial markers give it an added elegance. Also, the lack of a diver's bezel makes it look even dressier. I originally bought it as a "beater" watch, but I liked the look of it so much that I started wearing it with everything from shorts to a suit. Fortunately the yellow isn't THAT pronounced that it screams "look at me". You can't go wrong with this watch - Swiss Made, sapphire crystal, applied dial markers, nice push-button deployment clasp, and chronograph function in a watch with an MSRP of $395 (which means less than $300 from an AD). Here's mine:

Decisions...decisions. Your picture makes the watch look good. If I wasn't going to purchase that one, I was going to get the Titoni Airmaster (picture below). Now, I'm stuck after seeing your picture. I wish I could afford both - :-X. I'm going to need some time to think now -.

Just tried out the watch in person. Love the face, but the bracelet looks a little cheap to me because the inner links protrude out when the bracelet is curved, as it would be when on your wrist.
Anyone know if the lugs on this are of a standard diameter such that finding another bracelet wouldn't be too difficult?
Also, how easy would it be to switch between a bracelet and a strap for a different look depending on what you're wearing, etc. Would you need a special tool to release and reinsert the pin?

Hey Bikeracer. Did you happen to look to check if the links are solid or hollow (on these types of bands the seams are pretty well hidden)? Of course, the black leather band is always available for $20 less... and they have quick release clamp-ons similar to what is on a metal band that would be around that much if the leather is preferred... How did the face look in person? The more I see the black face chrono in pictures the more I fall in love with it! Really this is looking to be my next watch if all goes right!

Hollow I think, but can't be sure.
The face looked slightly less impressive in person, but I find this to be true of most watches.
If you like the face (large dial, thin bezel), other brands to check out are Sector (a similar chrono with 200m WR) and Oceanus (their 5 motor version).

Yes, the lug width is 19mm, so you can find a wide array of aftermarket bracelets and straps in this size.
If you are going to switch between a bracelet and a strap, ideally you should use a springbar tool like the Bergeon one shown in the link below. A tool like this with a forked tip makes removal of the springbars much easier:

I have dealt with the seller above and I can highly recommend him. He also sells some nice aftermarket straps at great prices, too, and he ships FAST.
One other thing about changing between a strap and a bracelet - always tape the areas around the springbars with masking tape before removing them to avoid scratching the underside of the case in the area of the lugs. When the springbars pop out, they will easily scratch the case unless you tape this area first.
Good luck,
John
Thanks for the detailed response, John.
