I'd like to pick up a decent, automatic diver for summertime (right around the corner here in FL!) What would you guys recommend? I'd like something with a sporty, traditional look with flat black bezel (as opposed to black/silver). I'd also like a strap, rubber or whatever. Orange or yellow dial and day/date would be nice too.
SO...with all those demands, anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I would suggest the Seiko Monster in Orange....It will run a little over $100 but it is an amazing watch.
I have it in black on a strap and it is great! :-!

I agree with both above. Go a little over 100 and get one of the Seikos. Both are great values and will run for decades! Pick your color/style and enjoy:-!

Since then I've bought 2 black monsters and a 007k each for just over $100 ($105-$112). They will last decades with no problem!

If you could stand a quartz Idd recomend a St. Moritz M1.
Black, white, yellow, orange,or light green dials up for auction on ebay for less than $80.

Thanks for all the replies everyone, I'm definitely leaning toward the Orange Monster now. The $100 wasn't set in stone, just a range really so the OM looks perfect!

I agree with the others. The "Monsters" are a great bang for the buck watch. Also, keep in mind that they come in other colors if orange isn't your cup of tea including black and blue dial versions. B-)
