On Dec.17th,I sent my beloved 100th Anniversary Chrono to BUSA for service. The post office does not show it has been delivered as yet,and I cannot get BUSA to return my e-mail inquiries. I know they were off over the holidays, supposedly returning yesterday. I am nervous as hell over this. I,of course, did insure the watch...but I really don't want to lose it,due to it's rarity and seriel number.

Just venting. I know none of you can fix it for me. I am,however,a little dissapointed in the process.

Best to all here. The new Breitling catalog has many wonderful, shiney things, does it not?

Very sorry to hear about your problems. As you say, there is nothing any of us can do, but hope you get it back,- safely, serviced and soon.

All the best,
Nick.

PS. USPS doe not update their tracking status until the evening after the day of delivery. If it was delivered and accepted yesterday or today you may not see the update until tonite or tomorrow.

Yeah, I would try calling them directly. The lady who works service, Christine, is quite helpful when I sent my Aerospace in for servicing. She may be a little hard to contact. She seems to be "out of the office" a few times I called.

In the future, you may want to send expensive items out via Fed-Ex or UPS. They have much better "step by step" detailed tracking. With USPS, you can only get notification of delivery (with delivery conformation). If the receiver did not get the package, you have no idea what happened to it. I guess USPS won't know either.

Hope things turn out well.

USPS Registered is another safe way to ship expensive items

The USPS still does not show this watch delivered to BUSA service in Connecticut. However,I took Ron's advice and called Christina at BUSA. She cheerfully told me they did indeed have my watch and were in the process of looking at it today or tomorrow. So...now I feel ever so much better, and thank you for the support. The lesson is: NEVER use the US Post office, unless it has to go to a p.o. box.
Thanks again to all!

I would only send something this expensive in a manner that has to be signed for, USPS Registered Mail, USPS Insured, FedEx insurwed, USPS Insured.

Hi Trueblue,

just replying to you as I was born in Middlesex (sinner from Pinner).

USPS, hmm, delivered 2 watches to my doormat, rang the bell and walked away, I was in thank goodness otherwise 6k of watches could have gone.

I am not their greatest fan I'm afraid.

Best
