Hello all, I am a 23 year old college student getting set to purchase my first "B". I have read this forum for several months now and finally decided to join, as the decision to purchase has been made. I have decided on the Navitimer with the black face and white subdials due to its classic appeal and perfect size but am now having trouble deciding on the band. I have been to the store several times and cannot decide between the plain black deployent, black croc deployent, and the pilot bracelet. This is proving to be a daunting task since all three have an effect on the end price (poor college student, you know). I would like to get the leather or croc band because I feel like they would be the most understated/versatile for my first years in the business world, but, I would like to have the pilot bracelet as an option and at $1100US I do not see myself picking it up later. Sorry for the lengthy first post. Any and all reply's are most appreciated!

1- Check you PM
2- I would suggest you look into buying the watch on the Bracelet. It is easier to negotiate the discount this way. The bracelet will be more expensive after the sale.
3- Quite often you can get the dealer to throw in a strap as part of the deal. Breitling reps leave them all sorts of samples. I did this when I purchased my Datora and then swapped the strap for a deployant clasp and paid the difference on the clasp.

Thanks for the pm, although have already negotiated a pretty good deal (also the AD is within close proximity and I will be able to pick it up this weekend!). I will be sure to inquire about a sample tang band to "test" and see if I should invest in a deployent. Thanks!

I actually prefer the tang strap to the deployant, so the deployant is sitting in the box!
