I'm looking at purchasing a used B-1 on EBay and one of them has no paperwork or box. I am quite certain it is the real deal but, I'm wondering what the monetary value of the certificates are. I don't want to overpay on a watch with no certs. What am I looking at, $2-300 less than one with the certificates and box included?
Thanks,
Dave

Personally i wouldnt buy it without papers, unless you were sure of its origin, Could be stolen, or fake, or even damaged in some way, and why is there no box or papers.
Like i said i wouldnt, but thats my thinking.

Lou,
After receiving a reply from the seller, I'm with you. Although I have few doubts about the authenticity of the watch, he is the second owner, and bought off ebay the first time. No box, no paperwork and no reason why not. I was fired up because it came with most of the straps that I would purchase anyway so it would save me the hassle. Oh well, the search continues......o|
Thanks,
Dave

I totally agree with Lou. When searching for my B1, i wanted the `whole package`, papers, boxes, certificates etc. I rushed into buying a very nice 2000 B1, (on 1st viewing) that didn't have the chronometre certification, but a certificate of authenticity from the dealer i brought it from. It started niggling me a few weeks later,o| so i sold it and brought a 2004 SQ model with everything it should have. If i've learned one lesson from my experience it is, -take your time, don't jump in, and the right one will come along, papers and all.
Good luck, Nick

Good advice Nick, thanks for sharing. I may need to just bite the bullet and pay a little more. I'm really good at trying to save a buck, getting screwed, and then paying double!o|
Unfortunately, patience is not one of my strongest virtues!

When i first purchased my colt, i rushed in, bought it on the net, got all papers etc with it, but took a chance to say the least, i then bought the hercules after weeks and weeks of research, and this forum, and the members helped me a lot, not in buying my hercules, but in forcing more pics of others for me to drool over.
My point! be patient, the right one will come along, and when it does, it will be worth the wait.

I thought about buying an Ebay Breitling, until I visited YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uEIgz3x9tU. There is a guy on their from (Breitling Source), who may or may not be an authority on Breitlings, but knows a heck of a lot more than me, and he noted some subtle discrepancies in the counterfeit watch that may be overlooked by the untrained eye.
