Hey guys,
I've been a viewer of the forum now for awhile, but haven't owned a Breitling at least until today. I normally hang out around the Poor Man's Watch Forum, but now I'm the proud new owner of a Breitling Super Avenger, so I get to hang out with you guys now too.
I got a good deal on one very lightly used Super Avenger over the weekend. I have all the paperwork, warranty info, original reciept from an AD, as well as the inner and outer boxes. But just to be safe and because 2 heads are better than one, I wanted to see if you guys could look at some quick photos I took a few minutes ago and verify it looks real (no obvious mistakes that I might have missed). You never know with all the fakes that float around out there now adays. The seller is pretty reputable and sells watches/jewelry with very good feedback. As far as I know I shouldn't be worried but when you spend several thousand for the first time on just one watch you feel a little nervous.
So here goes guys. Let me know what all ya'll think about the watch.

Hi Jon,
Welcome to our forum.
Nice bit of clobber you have there! Very authentic and very cool.
You will find a number of the guys like white dials and this one sure is the goods.
How do you it like for size on the wrist? Did you have a chance to try it or one on before you took the plunge? Or was this an arranged marriage :-) ?

Thanks for the welcome,
Yeah its a nice sized peice, but I like big watches. I've got a 44mm International Watchman Panerai Homage also. I'd never actually even had any real Breitlings on my wrist until I bought this one. I got a great deal so it was an "arranged marriage". But I've tried it on and it fits great. It balances very well with the bracelet. I've got a rubber band on my IWI and I honestly think this 48mm beast is more comfortable.
Cheers,
Jon

Welcome to the forum and the club Jon. Great watch and congrats! It certainly looks authentic to me. I only wish I had a manly enough wrist to wear one. Heck, I'd be happy if I could get my wrist into a Seawolf and not feel silly. Did you always like Breitling's or did you just sort of come across this deal?

Thanks again for the welcome. I've always liked Breitlings. I've been a watch nut for a long time. I was in Italy about 6 years ago and got suckered into purchasing a fake Chronomat on the streets for about $80. It felt heavy enough and I'd never heard of Breitling before. Anyway I loved the watch and thought it was real until I figured out a few months later that real Chronomats didn't have quartz movements and there crystals also didn't scratch. So that watch has long been destroyed. I took it apart to learn about watch dissassembly a while back. It was actually a Miyota (Citizen) Movement.
I've been collecting inexpensive watches for years with about a $300 limit. Now I thought it was time to man up and buy a big boy. I saw a Chronomat Evolution in the window of a Finks this past weekend, and that was the last straw. I had to have my own Breitling. So I found a great deal on the model I'd been desiring for several months and I went for it. I had doubts at first, but now that I have it, I'll never let it go.
Thanks again for the welcome and sorry for rambling.
Jon

Welcome Jon
Great watch - nice pics
We all have our favourite Breitlings here & you'll see that for some its the classic Navi, others the technical Emergency, others the pro-diving SO/Seawolf, others the weight training Herc.....but interestingly, my AD told me this week that your watch - the 'White Dialled Super Avenger" - was his no1 best selling Breitling :-!
Enjoy
