I just got a kevlar like strap, which I think is fairly similar to the old Breitling style ones. At first I didn't really like it, but its sort of growing on me. Its nice in that its not leather lined, so it can get wet. Here are a few shots. I couldn't decide which one I liked better, so I'm posting both variations of the same shot. Plus a dial close up. Enjoy!

By the way, what kind of a deployment do you have on it?

Thanks...

Love the Kevlar, looks bulletproof to me.

Also like the deployant buckle. Got any more pics of it?

Thanks. Its just a basic single fold deployant. I like them simple like that. I love the Breitling deployants and straps, but can't justify the $150+ price for each of my watches. $19 I can justify :-!. It's just like the one here on my old SOP.

Did you find it absolutely NECESSARY to post that beautiful blue bomber? Couldn't you have waited untill my black dial was in hand?? I will NEVER forgive you for this! O| Cheers,

You konw Ron... Just like I always used to tell my customers when I worked at the haberdashery, if you can't decide, just get both. I'm sure Sec will be more than happy to order you both with an extra UTC to boot!:-! Get the rainbow and then you won't have to go through the agony of the decision. See, although maybe I caused the problem for you, I have provided you with a perfectly viable solution for your quandry. :-D Do post a pic of the happy couple when they arrive.

John,

I really like that strap and suits the watch down to the ground. Originally l only liked the metal bracelet on the B-1 but seeing that kevlar unit I have changed my mind. The blue on blue looks great and the B-1 being a contempary watch the band is a great match. Very mod and much better than leather.

Great photos too!

Cheers,

Cap

I hate to keep bothering you, but you do seem to the be B1 guru. I saw a post that I can't seem to find now that had a link to a Breitling site that let you actually build a B1 with different straps to see how they look. Any idea where this might be hiding?

You probably mean the Breitling Japan site - here (http://www.breitling.co.jp/).

What a beautifull hardcore photos.....

The blue dominance and practical deployant brings the B-1 to new heights of beauty and comfort.
by the way greet us with the technical information about that kevlar strap and deployant and of course where to get it.

Wear it in Health.

I noticed you have the straps goinh in opposite directions on the Sinn and the B-1, doesn't that drive you nuts?

Nice catch. Actually, I never really wore the Sinn on that Hirsch Joker strap. I threw it on there to see what it looked like and snap a few pics. I didn't think it looked too hideous, but everyone on the Sinn forum hated it. I didn't really care for the bracelet that came with that watch, so I always wore it on a strap. Sort of the same with the B-1. I'm a little nervous to wear the bracelet to work (not that I actually have a bracelet for it yet) in the ER with its polished links. Things tend to get a little banged around there. Maybe I need a nice desk job. :-S

I got the kevlar strap from watchprince.com. It was fairly cheap as I remember it. I can't remember if its pure kevlar, but it doesn't have the leather backing like a previous "kevlar" strap that I had, so this one is actually water proof. It matches the watch amazingly well in the pics, but unfortunately not quite as well in person. Oh well. I guess its just a photogenic strap.

Now you just need a kevlar bracelet for the right wrist and you can be like Wonder Woman deflecting bullets with your wrist bands! :-D

Cheers,

Kevin

p.s. the Kevlar does look pretty cool in person, too. Better than the calfskin, IMO.

I don't think you've seen the kevlar in person. I thought you'd only seen the diver and calf straps.

Hi John,

Beautyful pictures! I think that I'll be ordering 1 or 2 items from watchprince.com in a few days too!

Ron told me about your pictures since I am in the process of getting a blue B1 too and if I would have had any doubts about the beauty of the watch, your pictures would have taken them all away!

Kind regards,

Cinq
