Uk buyer wants a Nav-b, but from Steinhart or Debaufre ??

Hi Chaps,

Ok, can someone please clarifie a couple of things for me ? Im living in the United kingdom and Im looking to purchase either a Steinhart Nav b classic or Debaufre Nav b classic.

I know both watches are the same and that they are from the same company, Debaufre US and Steinhart Europe.

I think I prefer the watch branded Debaufre for some unexplaind reason so was just wondering if i could get a Debaufre branded Nav b from Steinhart Europes web site.

Why dont I buy from the US ? well, I think I might get stung for tax as Im in the UK !!!

Any Uk buyers reading this I would love to hear you experiances...If you bought from the US and got taxed etc... Its no big deal realy, I would still buy the Stienhart branded Nav-B any day just thought Id ask :-)

Hello again Volker, hope your well :-)

I did email Steinhart pretty much after writing the above question and recieved a nice reply today.

It was just a thought realy about the name thing, I dont mind either name so will probably just order the Steinhart branded Nav-b, I have heard great things about the man and the brand so looking forward to ordering v soon :-!

I will be sure to post some pics when it arrives :-)

I have seen someone mention on another forum that Debaufre will let you order off their website and can arrange to have the watch shipped from Germany (emailing them would be the way to go abou this). This should get you around the Import Tax issue.

I don't know about that way to work around it, but that sounds great if it works!...I also heard where Debaufre will ship internationally for a flat fee, I think $50, if that helps keep it down...
