Well, I received all their magazines starting with it´s 1st issue 1999 and it is to conclude that their magazine changed from a pure watch related magazine towards a more lifestyle orientated magazine (similar to the IWC magazine).

When comparing "old" and "new" my vote goes for the good old times. But this is my very personal view.

I also own the 1st letter of UNION issued in 1997 - the year of rebirthing Union watches made in Glashütte. The first NOMOS catalogue I own originates from 1995 (printed in black and white). The price of a Ludwig: 970 DM, Orion: 1000 DM, Tetra 1080 DM, Tangente: 990 DM. Where habe all the good times gone...........

Yes I agree. Have saved all the old versions in PDF file
format. Many are still available. It has changed greatly, especially
under F.M.'s direction. To me they have moved from being watches
for the collectors like us made by a collector (H.P. era), to the upscale
scene much like everything else seems to be doing. I think it is a big
loss for many of us, much like losing the Minerva era under the Frey
family (imho). The plus side is the G.O. company seems to be thriving
unlike new Minerva!

I do like the older version of the manufactory magazine. Now have
given time to read through this very first copy of the new Momentum.

Articles and range are very nice, lifestyle oriented as Mike pointed
out, but well done. I appreciate G.O.'s effort to put out a first rate
publication like this. Another step toward being a great watch brand
in offering tasteful insights to the collectors. Hopefully there will be
more inside information from the halls of G.O. in future but I am happy
they care enough to put this out for us. :-)
