I have a Williams F1 PVD watch which was purchased in November of 2005. I started to notice that some of the PVD coating came off on the top of the case at the 12 position :-( . It is a very small amount but very noticable, for me. The watch has never been dropped or banged and I baby it to death. I e-mail Oris and I received a reply from John Simpson at their service center. He stated that the coating is covered by the warranty and that all I need to do is send a copy of my stamped warranty page to them with my watch. Here lies by problem, I looked at my warranty page and it was not stamped by the dealer :-| . It purchased it from an authorized dealer and I still have the reciept from the purchased. If I take the box, paperwork, and reciept back to where I purchased the watch, do you think that they will stamp the warranty page so I can get my watch fixed. I know I should have check this when I bought the watch but I didn't O| . Am I in trouble with this or am I just worring about nothing.

:thanks Ken

Any authorized dealer should be happy to put their name on the papers....aren't they required to do so?

:-) Your problem is, was it truly an AD? There's a lot of BS out there.

Yes it was because I got the dealer off of the Oris website. I sure hope that they put AD on their website :-! .

I purchased my Oris locally, and they didn't stamp it either. Take the watch back to the dealer and they'll send it in for you (should be free of charge). While you're there, you might as well ask them to stamp the warranty booklet if it's that big a deal to you.
