I've been looking at at tissot seastar 1000, doxa, tutima di300 I know there in different price ranges but which is best bang for the buck plus if down the road looking to trade take that into consideration. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks AC NJ

The Doxa is certainly the most sought after and collectible of the bunch. Seems like a lot of people around here own the seastar, but I am not partial to it. Don't know much about Tutima, but I think it is safe to say it doesn't hold a candle to the Doxa.

In the end, it is really about what you prefer and what you are comfortable spending. But if you are looking for a watch to hold value between the three it is the Doxa - and I assume you are talking about the SUB750T (sharkhunter is a cool looking watch)

I'm with Lane. The Doxa is the way to go especially when it comes to a future trade or resale. Doxas are always hot with the dive watch crowd. B-)

Thanks for th info. Besides this forum for buying doxa is there any other place to buy doxa at any discount? Are you better off buying used?

There's only one source for buying Doxas new and that's via their web site.

I would go DOXA all the way!I have a SUB 750T COSC and I love it.
Always within 0.5 secs/day and a watch you will not see everywhere.
The build quality is superb-worth every penny.

Just my 2ct

Cheers,Oliver

Couldn't agree more. My next watch will probably be a Doxa :-! 750 T Professional.

Half a second per day?
That's truly remarkable!'
Or do you mean a still respectable 5 secs per day?

Go for the Doxa!! Once they go retail, the used value will jump according to their new MSRP... That way you can wear it for a year, sell it, and make several bucks on it.

It's COSC so it should be within 4 or close to it, but I wouldn't doubt 0.5 - good automatics are certainly capable of it. As we talked about over in the Affordable forum my rolex sub does +1.5 and I have heard (no roll eyes emoticon available!?!?) crazy stories of rolex subs gaining less than a few seconds in a week. I can't detect any sensitivity to case position either - to me that is one sign of a truly "superlative" watch.:-D

I think sometimes you just get lucky and find a watch that is (nearly) perfectly calibrated.

A movement requires an accuracy of max +6 / -4 secs a day in order to get a COSC certification.Mine does +0.5 secs a day.

Just for comparision:my new Sea Dweller is about -3 secs/day but I´ve only had it for 6 days now so I cannot say anything about accuracsy.
