I've set out to trim my collection but so far there is a net gain in the offing.
PW1 is on its way to Illinois and a sharp looking $123 quartz "dress beater" arrived today:

And a new chrono should arrive by the end of the week. ;-)

Those retro Hamiltons are mighty nice. They really got the styling down. Love my Ventura re-issue. Beats having to maintain those finicky electric movements (Which I have to do on two others).

Nice Hamilton. Is this a new reproduction or a vintage piece? Enjoy.

Hamilton makes some nice watches; that one has classic styling and looks far more pricey than the price you paid for it. It's nice to get style and quality for not too much bucks!

When Hamilton introduced the Khaki watches a few years ago, quite a few began to show up on the forums with good reviews. Then last year, I noticed that one of my local watchmakers had Hamiltons in his case. I was struck by the styling and variety of designs - plus the pricing.
A few weeks back I mentioned to our FAD that I planned to shake up my collection some and asked if he had any suggestions as to something different I might consider. He mentioned that he was really impressed with the designs, quality, and pricing of the Hamiltons. He felt that $ for $, there was not a better watch to be had. I was becoming more impressed.
In any event, I spotted this quartz last Friday on eBay and although I'm not into quartz, the styling got me. The current bid was $121 so for the heck of it, I used auctionstealer to throw in a bid of $125 at the last second. The California seller shipped on Saturday and it arrived early yesterday. (I love USPS Priority.)
I replaced the strap with a black Genesis II bought from Walt for my Speedy Pros and never worn. (I don't like black on Speedies, remember?) The strap cost more that the watch but it is a perfect match. For less than $300, I have a "multi-$K" look. :-d

Those Khakis are pretty swell, too. Thought about getting one, but too close enough to my Dynamic. Really like the one you just picked up.
