After seeing the sample photos and seeing the SS bezel I'm inclined to get the SS bezel for changing up with the blask bezel. However, I've never done this on any other watch and was wondering how this is done? Does the bezel need to be pried off or is it fastened with screws (ala Sinn)?

Great question. I believe a few folks are getting two bezels. I'm surprised it took someone this long to ask.:-)

I'll be curiuos how easy/hard this will be.

I would wait and see first off all how the watch will look with the SS bracelet and the black bezel. You might actually like this look better as it mixes up the SS with the black. I think the SS bezel with the SS bracelet might be too silver overall once it sits on the wrist. I like the contrast of black and silver.

That said, I might also get the SS bezel if it is easy to switch :-d

There is a nice video for changing bezels on a Stowa ProDiver here:

No idea if this will be the same for the OE but it sure looks simple.

Actually guys, Poul addressed this question last fall. This is what he said:

" As far as changin the bezel, I am going to put on the website a guide "how to change the bezel" Thanks for the great idea :-)
And no it is not that difficult."

I think he was going to do this once the OE is released. Pretty cool, as i imagine it will change the look dramatically due to the large size of the bezel. Think i'll stick with black though as I'll either be wearing it on a dark leather strap or black rubber. I'll be interested in seeing what rubber strap Poul finds for the Oceaneer.

Hi Seiko,

It is very easy, and no it is not fastened with screws.

Holding the watch in your left hand. With your right had simply right twist it upward, away from the watch and it pops right off. Very easy.
