She's about 40-41mm with crown and pushers so, yeah, 38mm |>. Although, it's a bulky watch so it wears large.

I like the unique flat caseback design too. I think Breitling listened to Italian air force pilots before designing the watch. I heard it's easier to move the watch on a flight suits.

Thanks, Joe :-) I tend to buy/collect watches that can be repaired in the country I live. I love Glashutte Original, JLC, Vacheron Constantin and other makes but won't touch them because service is too hard and too expensive. At least with Omega, Rolex and Breitling I can have them serviced relatively easy if the need arises and I don't have to send them south or overseas. Winnipeg really isn't a huge horology centre so I make due :-(

It truly is a VERY comfortable watch to wear. I'd even say that it's my most comfortable chronograph. The only problem is that the 'tabs' on the bezel are real sweater killers and the 7750 'wobble' can throw you for a loop when you forget you're wearing it. ;-)

IMO you have very discerning taste and an outstanding collection. I like the combination of vintage and more recent watches. But what really caught my attention is that attractive offspring of John Cameron Swayze fame. Neat inclusion to the collection that I'm guessing has a story attached to it.

Speedy Pro, GMT II, McQueen, SeaDweller, Navitimer.... You own most of my wish list. Jealous!
All of those with the exception of the GMT II were bought within a year or two of each other. They were all on my list. The only watch on the list I haven't gotten yet is the Planet Ocean.

I like it a lot.
That being said:
I know so many of the iconic watch companies fell on hard times in the 70s and 80s. How did Longines fare?
Bulova, in all it's ownership change, certainly was headed towards the bottom at one point, but reinvented themselves. Waltham was considerably tarnished by the company that bought it in the 70s.
Longines seems to either have reinvented itself quite well, or managed to retain the history.

Don't really know how they got by . I know Omega was near death and almost bought by Seiko :-| and I know a lot of Swiss watch companies lowered their standards and moved to cheap quartz watches. I can only assume Longines did the same

Yeah, they're good watches. Still can't understand the MSRP of them but at least you get a big name, cool history with an excellent movement out of it (Not to mention it looks 'Uber Cool') :-!
