OK so in my last thread it was suggested I need a UTC for either my B1 or the Yella E
For those of you with them....Lou, Cap...are they comfortable or do they push the watch too far over the far side of the wrist....
And would a lovely piece like my Yella E be spoiled by one
Opinions please!

Opinions please!and IMHO, you NEED a UTC for your yella E more than just another watch right now. One caution if you decide to do that. Altan returned his yellow dial UTC to Breitling because it didn't match the yellow on his Chrono Avenger M1. His was the second case we had heard like that regarding the CAM1. We havn't heard of any color mismatch issue with the yellow E but verify it first. The correct part number for your E UTC is E7017510/I352 using the 886E Professional bracelet but since the E is using the Pro II bracelet now the 886E model number will have changed. C'mon. Be the first on your block to have one! Go for it!!! :-!

Ron

Go for it Davey
Can't speak for the E but with regard to the B-1 you wouldn't know it was there.
(Except you do 'cos you keep admiring it!!!!!)
Just a few to push you to the right decision

Hi Davey,
Comfort isn't a problem with the UTC since you have a special bracelet with it. My wrist is rather small, I now have 5 links on the top (North) side and 3 plus the UTC module on the bottom (South).
I noticed in the 2006 Chronolog that the way the UTC module is attached to the Chronomat Evolution looks different. Anybody who knows more about this?
Anyway, I really like the UTC on the B-1, it gives the watch a really special look.
Just to tease, a quick pic I posted 5 minutes before reading your question:

Kind regards,
Cinq
I'm glad this isn't an AA site. Between Ron and Gav, we have some serious enablers here. So, when do you think you'll have the UTC, Davey? I'll have a drink for you when you get it. Cheers, Bob
Dave,
You cant notice its on, feel wise anyway, mine sits at a slightly more angled look to findo's pic but with my wrist size im not suprised.
Go on you know you want one, your yella fella is lonely, and needs company, you know it makes sense, it would help you sleep at night knowing that you done the right thing.
Ron just called with orders to hurt parts of the body, but i say give you a chance !! LOL
Take care my good freind

Hi Davey,
The 'E' will be fine with a UTC - and if you don't want to go for the bracelet option get a leather band - I've just bought one to use with the UTC and it feels great. I bought a blue buffalo a few months back but it wasn't for the UTC and I missed it something rotten!
Interestingly, it actually fits my wrist better with the UTC than without - the diverpro seems to never shape to my wrist and therefore seems to stand proud but the UTC on leather and on the bracelet seems to fit it to the wrist and create more of a shape (if you know what I mean)
Oh, and people comment about it. I guess it gives them a reasonable question to ask rather than enquiring directly about the watch - "why do you have two watches on your wrist?"
Make the move - you won't regret it!

Well you all make a good case for having one....but for which!!! I think the B1 has enough power but the e could use an easier to read 2nd time zone
Now how much are they>< :-X
Davey
Thanks for taking the time to comment chaps, it's much appreciated

Well you all make a good case for having one....but for which!!! I think the B1 has enough power but the e could use an easier to read 2nd time zone. Now how much are they>< :-Xmodule for the B-1 is $725 and for the "E" ("titane") it is $750. These are prices extrapolated from Chronolog 06 and they are of course prior to the supposed May 15th price increase. The 877A "Fighter" bracelet is for the B-1 UTC and has the same $250 list price as the regular 874A "Fighter". Prior to 2006, the regular "Professional" bracelet for the "E" was model 863E and for the UTC module it is 886E. List price was $475 for these "titane" bracelets. I don't know the model number of the 2006 model titanium "Pro II" for the "E" but the list price is $750 (again, prior to May 15th). Straps are likely the same price as for those on tang/buckle which is $130 for calf or buffalo. A caveat here is that Breitling adds $50 for non-regular lengths (shorter or longer than the regular 120mm-80mm lengths) so I don't know if they would do the same for a UTC length strap. I wouldn't think so but??? Hope I made all this clear as mud for you. If not, Lou will come over this weekend and explain it. "When Mickey's big hand is here, and his little hand is there, the time is..." JUST RIGHT for you to place the order!!! :-D :-D :-D
Cheers,
Ron

Hey Ron, thanks for that.....as you say clear as mud!!! I get it 'tho
What you have not thought of is the awesome discount power of Louis (Mickey Mouse) Smith.....although I did get the Aero Advantage at a better cost than he! Even if I did have to return it......and when I did, I almost strayed onto the dark side as I saw the 1st Rolex I've ever liked....black faced thingy, an Explorer II??? Dunno I ran away.
I may ask him to slip into his AD and enquire on my behalf!
So, can the UTC be fitted onto my current titanium bracelet or does it have to go on a special one???? It's nearly Airshow season here and it would be pretty cool to have it displayed...I had so many comments on the Yellow E at shows last year. Nice actually.
Take care
Dave
