Not for me, this time.
Actually I don't really lust for a Rolex, nice as they are.
But my wife sure did!
It was as much fun (almost) as getting a watch for myself.
Nice to fondle all the Rolex goodies, box, manuals and such.
It really IS beautiful, not so great pics again.
Amazing how they cram all that Rolex movement in a woman's case.
The salesman. Phil, assures me "I'll take care of you" when I buy my Speedmaster later this yr....we'll see.

Thanks for the nice comments fellas.
It really does just exude quality and craftsmanship when you handle it even though it's very light, given it's ladie's size.
After it's first full day it was +1 second!
"Superlative"!

"Superlative"!
:-!
They are the most accurate and durable automatic watches I own. I get annoyed with the "image" concious people who are attracted to the brand but in the end these are some of the finest watches made anywhere.
I have had my sub for two years and it has consistently done about +1.5 sec/24 hrs.
Congrats.

I hear you Lane.
The more I handle my wife's, the more I consider a "fire sale" of some of mine to fund one of my own!

Yeah, the price is the real problem - talk about an un-affordable watch. I bought my sub new and spent way more than I should have spent on any watch. I understand that retail on a SS sub is $4750 now!!! I think that is just too much. The only saving grace is that I can probably sell mine for $3500 - they do hold all that ridiculous value. I considered selling mine and getting a Marine Master or Omega and/or a Doxa but I haven't got the nerve. Plus, why sell a watch that works so well?
Okay, it is too gorgeous outside - I am off to the pool.

I do like my Rolex GMT Master II. I wore it constnatly for several years alternating with my day/date 18k Prsidential that I ultimately gave to my son-in-law. It has taken a hell of a beating, but I have more fum with the Seikos, Tissot's and others now. Bought it in 1992 BNIB from bankrupt staock for $3200 (18k and SS).

OMG, this is oil to my fire again! The Sub is my grail watch and I want it badly. But Iīm torn: It may be a fantastic watch and may have a great resale value but itīs simply too expensive for a three hands/w.date automatic! Itīs worse with the 14060, three hands/no date for about 3.500,00! O| The 14060 doesnīt even have solid end links. Imagine a three and a half grand watch with tin endlinks and tin clasp! O| O| O|
To make things worse, I still want it! But a fire sale? Selling the Zenith for a Sub? Uh, I dunno... :-(

Great classic watch! I guess that'll get you some slack for a while when it comes to household chores!
