hi guys,

Just joined this forum. Today was a great day, after 3+ months of waiting for it to arrive from Switzerland, I picked up my Seamaster PO 42mm (with orange leather strap). I love it!

My only regret (maybe haha) is that the PO Chronograph version looks nice too. But costs thousands more (at least up here in Canada).

Just curious....any of you out there who got the PO Chrono? How does it compare?

I'm a Canadian and this is why I no longer buy some of the watches in Canada. A PO is $4600 Canadian, while its only $3600US, that's a big difference.

I just recently got my PO 45.5mm and I prefer it over the chronograph. I don't use any of the chronograph functions and I personally think it takes away from the beauty of the watch. + I don't like the clutter.

I agree...of course, my humble opinion. I'm a Canadian and this is why I no longer buy some of the watches in Canada. A PO is $4600 Canadian, while its only $3600US, that's a big difference.

Yeah my dealer took the price down to match the US price so that's why i got it =) I had my eye on this watch for like two years.

Did you get yours with a bracelet, leather, or rubber strap?

I just realized, i *thought* i had ordered the orange leather strap model but it turns out i have the orange rubber strap which looks very similar.

the rubber strap isn't bad either. so i don't know whether i really want the leather one now haha.

i got mine with the steel strap + the orange rubber strap with deployment. The steel strap for everyday wear and the rubber for when i go swimming in my pool.

I got the PO 45 non chrono and prefer the bracelet.

The 42 non against the chrono? There is a big size difference between the two not just the 3.5mm diameter but the thickness is also 3.5mm. Doesn't sound like a lot but on the wrist the POC wears MASSIVE!!

I can just about handle the std 45 but the POC is just a step to far for my 7" wrist

I don't know if I'd qualify the PoCh as "massive" necessarily, but it DOES make every other watch seem puny and insignificant in comparison. :-d

I like to think of it as a man's watch: large, clunky, heavy... And most importantly, NOT a girl's watch (which is what everything else feels and looks like once you've gotten used to the PoCh.)

Hey, personally, I really like the looks of the new black seamaster Chrono shown at Basel. Actually, it's the top of my to get list right now. Anythoughts on this? Won't be as big as a PO, which I also don't think is too massive, but for those that want a smaller Chrono the new seamaster could be the way to go

Agreed. The only chrono I will ever and plan to buy is the Speedmaster. On a diver I like just the simplicity of the diver. Although I am impressed with Omega's pusher being operational at 300m and 600m.

This for me is the 'only' black seamaster chrono to have......I am
of course ever so slightly biased ;-)

No doubt it's a beautiful watch. Very nice indeed. For some reason though, I just really like the new one. Probably because it's the new one.

I am crazy about the PO chrono as a "superlative" watch :-p and I like the PO in the 42mm size
