i was thinking about the smaller nav-b's that are about to come out and had a thought about the 2824 version. what if there was an option or a version with the auto winder taken of turning it into a hacking, handwing, central seconds nav-b. i think alot of people would be interested in this because of

- low price compared to L.E. from other companies with same features
- it would be production model making easy to get a hold of
- only brand offering a non L.E. sterile face nav-b that hacks, only handwinds and has central seconds

what do you guys think?

I think that's a great suggestion! While I wouldn't get the smaller Nav-B as I wear larger watches (the 48 mm Debaufre LE version is on my wrist now :-) ) I would have chosen a manual version over the automatic if I had been given the choice.

What I don't know is what's involved with removing the auto wind feature. Is is just pulling off a few bits and pieces, or are there other changes that need to be made to the movement? One of the features that I like with a manual movement is the fact that you can tell when the movement is fully wound - you can't wind it any more.

Hmmm, interesting idea that I certainly would be interested in :-!

You never know what will come out of Steinhart next. I am sure I read somewhere recently that Steinhart may be releasing another special Nav.B piece toward the end of this year. What it is, I have no idea. Will it have a modified movement or be a new expression of a current piece, again no idea, but it leaves us wondering what could be next. ;-)
