Hi Guys,
This on the official website today....Friday 11th July The Boss lady is attending the RIAT for a parade of the colours etc etc.....better news is as follows....
"Before The Queen departs, she will be treated to a mass flypast of aircraft representing the Royal Air Force’s past and present.
Coinciding with the Royal Air Force’s 90th Anniversary, the ceremony will be staged as Air Tattoo organisers make last-minute preparations for the 160,000-plus people who are expected to attend the world’s largest military airshow over the weekend."
Rumour has it that it's going to be a 90 aircraft flyby.......this was mentioned to me by a fellow WUS member a month ago or so, seems it's going to actually happen!!!!

No, not a problem with work, but I accepted an invite from my best mate to go to the Goodwood Festival of Speed (which should be equally noisy and fun) but it's on the same day!
By the way, my Boss is the Queen! :-d
Rik, so what your trying to say is your boss is THE queen and therefore thumb screws aint allowed, ok.....!!!
Still we at WUS know when our company isnt good enough, dont we Dave, Spacer Etc....Seriously have a good one!!

It should be a good one this year! And personally, I am looking forward to seeing the helicopters this year ;-) Looking at the dates, I may be down early the week before, but should definately be good to meet up on the Fri/Sat night for a beer.

I may be at RIAT with one of my squadron's jets. The jet will definitely be there...to be determined if I will be there with it, though.

The past few years we've been going to "the field" over the other side of the runway up the hill a bit as it's only £10 a car and the air displays fly directly over and around you, it's awesome!
One year I think I'll cough up the money for proper entry to have a mooch around the planes etc.
Do Breitling have a stand there?

Jon, Breitling have a tent there, and its meant to be ok. Just slightly off crowd centre. I'd say its worth paying the money for a mooch as there's normally some good a/c to see up close, and this year will see the F-35 for instance!
Alex, sadly this is probably the only one I'm going to (due to work commitments) aside from the Sunderland air display.
