A while back I posted on a Louis Rossel, 70's watch that I bought of the Bay. In it you gave me your take on a problem that my watch had as a loose cannon pionion. Well saturday i took my watch to a local watchmaker and he concured with you. He gave me a quote of $200.00 to set my c. p. this includes an entire service of the watch.
My question to you now is if this is a good price of if I should get a second quote. I live in Miami and there are'nt many good watchmakers that I am aware of so if there is anybody that know of one, please let me know.
Thanks again JimH.

If you are OK with the price, I'd say go ahead. I've paid more than that to get an old pocket watch working.
You can shop around and find someone who'll do it for less probably, but if you've found a good place now is it worth it?
At the end of the day the watch will be fixed, serviced and ready to give you many years of use. That's the bottom line.

AS stands for Adolf Schild a major Swiss movement manufacturer. A. Schild merged with ETA in 1978.
You can find more about this movement here AS 1986 (http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&&2uswk&AS_1986)
