Today is a very pretty day with much natural light
and snow on the ground outside. Good day for taking new pics!
Until I get finished, here is the last one of the old pics I have of
a favorite model G.O. Enjoy the simplicity of this design and the
case lines. Hard to come up with something unique on a flieger
based dial, but G.O. did it. Maybe have to see in person to fully
get the understanding.

Hi Andrew,
Very nice watch. :-!
Just curious, how old is this watch? I don't think GO is still making this, right? Any idea what is the movement in it?
Thanks.

Hi Tommy,
Don´t know how old the watch of Andrew is but you´re right:
The GO Senator Flieger is discontinued, movement (cal. 39) still available in some GO watches.

Thanks for the comments. I have some new nice pics for later.
This one dates to about 1998 from what I could gather
from the owner prior. He was reluctant to sell and now I know why!
This one has the GUB Caliber 39-10. That means it is up to the current
model of Cal.39 standards, but is pre-Swatch so it does not have the
21k rotor ( I know where a 21k small date Navigator is).
The interesting story of how G.O. was "reborn" under private ownership
after "the Wall came down" was very intriguing to me and inspirational.
It was a really cool thing in watch history to witness.
When the watch was new (like now, even more so now!) I couldn't
even hope to afford it and it remained an icon to me. I say Icon,
because it was one of those first models to come out after the
startup under the hands of Mr. Heinz Pfeiffer, a West German
businessman, when East and West Germany were reunited. As we
know now G.O. is part of the Swatch Group today. I think the watch
is a little more special because of this and the time under which it
was made from a history standpoint. I'm trying to find out more about
my Serial from G.O. My other favorite and dream watch is the older
style G.O. Senator Perpetual, especially in the dark dial that came
available later. That watch too is out of my range even now but
is THE Icon of the rebirth of G.O. in my eye! :-)
I took a lot of new pics today and will post soon. Don't want to keep
wearing out the Forum of this watch but for those who are interested
in it like I am there is more to share. :-!
