Ok, so i got the watch, and i bought it to wear not to put up in a case so im sure its going to get the regular scuffs on the clasp and such but im going to the beach this weekend, wouldn't wear it in the ocean but what if say i walked into the pool with it on, not really planning on doing so but its not going to hurt it in any ways is it? i know it sounds dumb and i know its rated to like 100m or something but i don't want to lose the shine and beauty of the watch.

So what i guess im saying is would you guys wear your watch out to the pool? the beach?

Im going to vegas for memorial day and will be outdoors at some pool parties where i'd like to wear it of course

then comes to my question what is best way to clean the watch? like inside the links when they get cruddy and such

Hiya!

Well, if going into any water, just make sure the crown is screwed in properly. finger tight. And don't use the pushers underwater, as if you need to or would!

My Emergency & B1 behave very well in the pool, and indeed the B1 has been down to 18m with no problems whatsoever.

As for cleaning...well I use whatever t-shirt I have on...or I use cape cod polishing cloths.

And for the bracelet.....a toothbrush and washing up liquid.

I think you'll be fine in/around the pool bud.

Have a fantastic time!

Not only can you wear it in the pool AND ocean, I would recommend it :-!

As Davey said, dont use the pushers under water or when its wet, and make sure the crown in screwed down. Its also recommended to rinse it with fresh water afterwards (I dont think it has to be immediate, but should be eventual) to remove the chlorine, salt etc. Dont worry about the shiny finish--it will be just fine. To give it a deep clean once in a while, a soft toothbrush, dish soap, and fresh (tap) water work like a charm. I think with ownership youll begin to find that these watches are surprisingly resilient.

All very sound advice.
My EM and B1 have both been in the pool and using some of the advice above, I've had no problems what so ever.

Good luck and enjoy,

Verner

I would take it to the beach and the pool.... It will be just fine.... I have worn most of my Breitlings to the beach and pool and have never had any problems....

Apart from trying to stay afloat with the EM on your wrist, eh, Verner. ;-)

Wear it. Use it. Love it. And have fun. just make sure the crown is screwed in but only finger tight as everyone else here has said.
