Hi guys Hoping you can help me with what is probably a stupid question. There are hundreds of watches around but very few with all the asthetic aspects I like. Therefore, I would like to put together my own design using. Am I oversimplifying if I say what I need to do is get the following and put them together: Case Dial Hands Movement I know I'll need to make sure I get a case that the dial will fit into and a dial and hands that fit the movement, but is it as simple as just fitting these components together? I realise it requires the correct tools and there may be difficulty obtaining some of the parts, but is there anything else I should be considering? Also does anyone have any good sources for parts in the UK or easily shipped to the UK? Thanks Matt

Case, dial, hands, and movement it is. Fitting them all together can be a bit of a challenge. Here are some variables.

1. Thickness of movement. Will the back close? Will the hole for the stem in the movement line up with the hole in the case?
2. Height of hands over dial. Will the hands, including seconds hand, clear the crystal?
3. Shape of dial. Does the case take a domed dial, or will it take a flat dial.
4. Width of movement. Do you have a spacer to make the movement fit the case?

Some things to think about.

Best wishes,
Bob
