I just received a couple of watches, and among them this Raketa. Somehow I feel that it’s something wrong with it. Firstly it says “Made in Russia” at the bottom, which could be OK if it’s a newly produced one I guess. But the printing on the dial seems to be pretty much crap. If you click in the image below you can see that the printing is not as sharp as it should (?) be.

What do you think about it?

What do you think about it?I've seen a roughly-printed paper dial on a Raketa before, admittedly on a 'Glasnost' dial; although I suspect it was a post-Soviet 'tourist watch'.

I reckon your watch is a genuine item from 1994-1996 when the factory would have been clearing out its stock of parts. Note that this is the gold-tone small case designed for the older 2609A movement (although sometimes in this period fitted with the 2609N). This dial style is usually seen on the larger screw-back case with 2609N/2609NA movement. Possibly the dial was so popular that they produced some cheap dials in the same style to use up the last of the small cases.

I've observed a similar situation with the red dial hammer-and-sickle hands watches, with poorly-fitted dials installed in various cases.
