As you can see, it's a standard 12 hour watch (white hands) but with a twist...The red 24 hour hand has two triangles, the first of which reads on an inner 24 hour scale, the outer referencing the bezel. To me, this seems like a very practical watch (for my uses) and simple in design.
What do you think?
I also appreciate the color coding. Everything red is 24 and white is 12.

Looks good!! how big?? looks liked a 42mm?? well... why not go for a TRUE 24hr w/3 time zones watch!! D24!!!

I love my D24!!!!!!!!! it is very practicle for me... I deal with Asia/ N/ America and Europe ( mainly Italy )

I dont know if I ever go back to a regular 12 hr watch :-)

Awesome Dennis. I think it is a wonderful design. I love the practical use of having both 24 hour and 60 minute timer markings. Fortis had a similar one with an additional 12 hour system.

I don't know why more companies don't utilize this concept.

This Limes has a very readable hand and dial set up. Congrats!!

It Arrived today!!!

Not bad....Four days total from order to my house...Germany, Paris, Memphis, Sacramento, Ukiah, Kelseyville.

First impressions...

Perfectly proportioned watch and perfect size and weight for me (any larger or heavier becomes unbearable for me...any smaller just doesn't have enough presence).

The crown is huge. Ickler knows how to build a case! The bezel insert slopes down slightly and the thick sapphire crystal (flat) protudes a tiny amount above the bezel.

The hands, markers, midnight bezel dot, and the two 24 hour hand triangles all glow like crazy. Among the best glow I've ever seen.

The watch functions just as I expected in person...That is, the white stuf (12 hour stuff) really jumps out at you when you glance at the watch, making local time easy to tell quickly. With a little more attention all the red 24 hour functions come into focus.

I like how the date is white on black and tucked away at 4:30, allowing fully symmetrical glowing markers (really nice at night).

The lug bars screw in from one side and are beefy. I suppose this is the most rigid setup imanginable aside from fixed lugbars.

The bracelet is solid and beefy with solid end links. I'm not fond of butterfly clasps so I'm modifying the bracelet to fit one of my expandable MarineMaster clasps.

The entire watch and bracelet are highly polished. Again, not something I like but acceptable to me because I like the watch design so much. Eventually I'll have the whole thing brushed or media blasted. I'll be able to handle the bling temporarily.

This watch has all the functions I want and is rated to 1,000 meters. Not bad.

The case design itself is original and very nice. Much of the lug space is taken up by a straight cut across, much like modern Breitlings. The case has quite a few angular cuts to it, making it have a German look to it. I especially like the shape of the lugs and crown guards. Very attractive.

That's all for now.

Dennis,

Thanks for a very intresting and comprehensive "mini" review :-! i have been thinking about this watch ever since Mike introduced it on the German watch forum.
Intrestingly you guys in the States get a better deal by about $90.00 than us guys in Europe because of tax.

Regards

Martin
