hey guys, i know there is a poll/thread just like this in the omega forums but this is different. i go to the gym mon-fri and what i do is go to the gym and bring my work clothes, and after working out, hit the showers and go straight to work. my dilemma is i cant leave the watch in the car for obvious reasons, and i cant leave it in the lockers because i have to give it to the boy/girl and they safekeep it but i just dont trust them. my only other option is to wear it while training but i have heard stories of people just banging their Breitling or even dropping in from 2 feet in the air on carpet and messing up the watch which forces them to send it to BUSA. has the model have anything to do with the resiliency of the watch, i have the Seawolf Avenger ti and has anyone put their watch through hell with no problems? because i know Breitling claims their watches are "rugged and tough" but i want to hear real life experiences. thanks guys

It should withstand a work out easy! My only concern would be banging it against the barbell or something and putting a big dent in the case! The seawolf is a big watch with plenty of case to bang up. I would put it in my pocket or carry a little carrying case for it and leave it in the car(very hidden) like in trunk. I personally would'nt take the chance of banging it up on anything. Remember almost everything you put your hands on will be hard, solid steel! And last time I checked ,Steel beats Ti.

I used to wear no watch to the gym, but recently ive been wearing a G-Shock. The only reason I dont wear the B is because I notice that I bang the G-Shock a few times on weights and machines every time im there. If youre very careful, I dont think its a problem. I just sort of get in the zone and dont pay attention to where my wirst goes.
Dont they have lockers that you can lock yourself with your own lock?

yes, very strong BUT dings, dents much ,much easier! They say it's lighter(which is obvious) and stronger. But stronger in a different sense.
Example- I wear a resin/rubber G-shock ,if I bang it against a metal weight machine, it will likely not really show any ding or dent unless I hit it EXTREMELY hard! but if I barely tap a piece of metal it will likely ding or dent a steel watch , even more so a Ti watch. I have owned both and found this to be my experience. FYI, I am very careful.
So, though steel and Ti are both harder than a plastic cased watch, they are not more dent/ding resistant.

If your that worried about it put it on a rubber strap and attach it to your leg under your sock.

I go to the gym during lunch everyday and I wear my Breitling. The alternative would be to leave it in a locker or in my car.. not going to happen.... I think it is safer on my wrist... Keep in mind I don't run with it on, weights only...

The gym I go to has you use your own lock on your locker so I personally don't see why this would be an issue. Unless other gyms are different. I always leave my watch in there.

I always leave my watch in there.my gym is one of those old school, chalk dust in the air type gyms.....basically the no frills-no cardio equipment-all free weights type gym.
