here are a few shots of my B-1 on an after-market black rubber deployment bracelet i bought about a month ago. i've been waiting for a close-up lens i ordered to come only to find it's a bit too close-up. so i used the one i had already for the first 3 shots. see what you think (of the watch and bracelet not my photography).

was the photography that bad??? or worse still, is it the bracelet, because it can't be my lovely, adorable B-1!!!

Hello,
maybe it's just me, but the band doesn't do the watch justice, IMHO (yes, as you point out, the B-1 is totally lovely!).
That said, it's certainly easier to use than the OEM "Pro Diver" because of the deployment buckle.

it just looks too plain or "flat", cant quite explain it. Doesn't suit the watch imo

Self,
Please don't think this in response to you thinking I have Airfix wrists....hheheheheheh funny.
But I love the middle bit, don't think the wrapping is in the same detail league.
Looks kind of dull? The strap, certainly not the diamond in the middle.

oh well!!!
i thought long and hard about the ocean racer because i wanted a genuine breitling bracelet. somehow i just couldn't come to terms with the holes in it.
i even thought about the pro diver. but the lack of a deployment is a bit off putting.
i'll grant that this isn't quite the most outstanding deployment bracelet to grace a breitling. but the attraction for me is it's practicality and the fact that it tones down the watch substantially compared to the fighter bracelet.

I'm afraid i have to agree with all of the above, - although i bet it looks
better on the wrist.
Like they say though, "if you don't try it you'll never know"
The B1 in the middle is a beauty. :-!:-!

NSC - I'm with you on the Ocean Racer strap - the deployant is adorable, an ingot of beauty, but I too dislike the holes. So yes, I'd love a diver pro with an Ocean Racer deployant but I fear it's not in the stars.
I think we've been spoiled by super chunky Breitling straps and bracelets but as a more subtle option I think I might just work . . . bring it on doubters! :-d

it's on my project list!!! i'm already seeking a cheap/used pro diver to experiment with.

Me no likey. Its way too plain and smooth. I dont really have anything against aftermarket rubber, but this ones just too simple. Some creases or waves or indentations would probably make it look better to me.

my omega rubber deployment bracelet is just plain and smooth. it cost £190 with discount. this cost not more than £15 including shipping. here it is:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/22mm-BLACK-RUBBER-DIVER-WATCH-BAND-STRAP-DEPLOYMENT_W0QQitemZ310088314219QQcmdZViewItem?has h=item310088314219&_trkparms=72%3A1345%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C 240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
now for the really bad news. the clasp on this is ever so much easier to use than the omega.
it may be a basic after-market rubber bracelet but in terms of 'bang for you buck (or should that be quid)', it runs rings around some of the original manufacturer's rubber bracelets.
makes you think, doesn't it!!! ;-)

I agree with gooter. That strap just looks like it's missing something - almost as though it's only part way through the manufacturing process. It needs some texture or other feature and doesn't do the watch justice. It may look better on the wrist but I wouldn't favour the combination personally.
