Hey guys,
Thought it was a good idea to try this combo. So far I... love it!

Now that you have seen it, please note that this is not the correct size for the strap -- it's a 20mm and the B-1 accepts 22mm. But IMHO it doesn't show, even when you're aware of the difference.
So... hot or not? :-d
Cheers

Hey Don
Looks good, I sometimes put mine on a black NATO. Occasionally I think the strap is not strong enough for the weight of the watch? I know it wont break, but more for support?
Do you find that?

looks good but you can see the ends of the spring bars. that would irritate me and i'd be getting a 22mm.

as a matter of curiosity, do you find it more comfortable with the nylon strap going over the dome on the caseback???

I do love that combo, Don !
Moses really looks like a rough & tough toolwatch... ;-) :-!
Slate dial matches perfectly with NATO grey.
(a wrist shot should be great !)
Don't you feel it too loose with a 20 mm strap ?

I really like that Don,
You've convinced me to get one for my Slate B1.
Have you tried it on any other colours?
Best wishes,
Verner

do you find it more comfortable with the nylon strap going over the dome on the caseback???
Well, just the same... that doesn't make a huge difference. On occasion you feel the two nylon parts sliding on each other between the caseback and the wrist, but that's definitely not comfortable...

Don't you feel it too loose with a 20 mm strap ?
Actually, not at all! The watch head just stays in place, so that's just behaving like a 22mm strap. :-)

looks good but you can see the ends of the spring bars.
In fact, that's a larger-than-life kind of picture, so every details appears much bigger.
In real life, to my eye, it never looks weird; I used to do some 20 -> 22 and 18 -> 20 experiments that looked plain wrong, see:

... but here the 20mm NATO just doesn't look as bad as the others. b-)
Also because a 20mm Breitling strap tapers at 18mm -- but a NATO has a constant width, and 22mm sometimes feel really big... to me at least.
But don't get me wrong, if I had to buy a strap for the B-1, I'd still go for 22mm; but I initially got this band for another 20mm watch. It's a cool change at zero cost...

Hey Davey,
Occasionally I think the strap is not strong enough for the weight of the watch?
We both know the strap can endure much more than the watch itself... so this "feeling" doesn't bother me when wearing it. Another neat feature of the NATO is that when (under extreme conditions) a spring bar breaks, your watch is still on hanging your wrist -- not a bad idea when you think of it. :-!

Normally I really dislike (hate, actually) nato straps... but this color combo really looks right for some reason.

I'm not a lover of NATO straps either but as soon as the photo was in full view on the screen, it just looked so right. Great colour combination so it gets a big |> from me.
Now all I need is a NATO strap AND a B-1 to put on it:-d
