Greetings,
We all have been waiting for this great milestone and we have finally hit it. Ocean Diver prototype is now semi-finished (they are still finishing case) but we are able to post some very much anticipated photos :-) .
Let me know what you think.
Be aware case is still semi-finished, it will have a better finishing.

It's going to be a lovely watch. Congrats to Brian and Carlos.

version to be used has no information on power reserve but when fully wind can run for over 36 hours. As it is an automatic movement you shouldn't have a problem when wearing it.

Very exciting to see my design transformed into reality! As Carlos said these are pictures of raw unfinished parts that have to under go several more finishing processes before they are ready for assembly. I can't wait to receive one of the prototypes and actually put it on my wrist :)
BTW - did you all notice the number on the case back in the picture shown? "000/500" - that's gonna be a pretty rare number to have!
Thanks for posting the picture so quickly Carlos.

I, too, had planned on buying only the chrono, but now am tempted by the diver, too.
Thankfully, the only person who would miss out of christmas presents would be my wife.
Hmm, decisions .... :think::-d

It looks great Congrats Carlos and Brian. Is that a generic strap or did the strap spec change?

Is that a generic strap or did the strap spec change?Barry, it's the same strap that we have spec'd out all along. It has a ballistic nylon (Kevlar looking) finish on the front and beautiful soft leather on the back. Waterproof and very comfortable to wear.
Remember too that the Ocean Diver has screw-in lug bars instead of flimsy spring bars, so the strap ain't going nowhere and you won't loose the watch when you go diving :)

Thanks Brian. It looks great. I like the look. I just did not see the grommets that I thought the strap had on each hole.

I liked the design with the internal bezel and numbers at the 6 and 9 on the diver so signed up fon the preorder list for #49.

I'm just curious - would it cost that much more to go with the better spec'ed ST24 movement?

I'm down with Watchcap on that one,
Is it possible and if so what would the up charge be on
a better movement?

Brian, Carlos,
The prototype looks nice. My only comment is that the knurling on the crowns seems quite heavy. I find that it attracts the eye a bit too much and detracts from the clean lines of the watch - for me at least. Have you considered a lighter pattern that doesn't cut as deeply into the crowns? Like the cross-hatching on the old Glycine Airmans.

I pretty much like the crowns as they are. The heavy knurling looks cool to me. Looking forward to further pics as work progresses.
