Hello all,

Thought I would repeat this posting here as well as at the Glycine forum.

I just recieved my redial (absolutely flawless reproduction indistinguishable from the original) in the mail and have installed it in its case. The following was also accomplished before the case back was screwed back on:

1 Case and case back refinished
2 New crystal gasket
3 New case back gasket
4 New pusher gaskets
5 New 24 hour crown gasket and rubber friction fit (an article to come for those of you with standard vintage pumpkins whose 24 hour crown is loosely turning while on your wrist)
6 Hands repainted white with black centres.
7 Luminous fill on hands tinted to match dial and then applied to the hands.

The only thing left is to modify a pumpkin sweep second hand to fit the chrono sweep second hand tube as the original is forever out of stock. This will require broaching the NOS standard hand to fit (the hand was supplied by Werner Siegrest).

The movement is a 17j Valjoux 724 with standard rose gold finish (very pretty) cleaned and serviced. This is actually a Valjoux 72 (18000Bph) with a 24 hour gear installed for the hour hand indicator.

Glycine, according to their web site only produced 100 of these in 1968. I know of one other which is in NOS condition. The same owner graciously allowed me the first bid on his 'second' which had a badly faded dial, badly preserved luminous on the hands as well as a broken seconds click spring.

And now the watch and hope you enjoy!!!

Very nice.
Excellent watch!
I appreciate that you made this happen. It's like a guy who restores a classic car to orginal condition. Keeps a bit of history alive for us all to enjoy.
