Hi Folks,
I have not made many postings on here before, so here goes:
Today I had the pleasure of seeing my first new stainless steel Seawolf. From the pictures, I was not too impressed with the rectangular markers that replace some of the numerals on the old one. I thought that I preferred the titanium one. However, when I saw the new one today I was blown away - the whole thing really seems to work very well, and it is quite a dramatic looking watch. The stenciled numerals look great.
I was quite in awe of the size. It even seemed larger than my AS Blacksteel. I know for a fact it is thicker. The Breitling website, under New Models for 2008 only gives the diameter, as 44mm. However, I looked at the Japan website, and as I don't speak or read Japanese, the only thing I could make out was the numbers 45.40/18.40 which would be diameter and thickness respectively. I could not see anything that looked like lug width, though. There is also the discrepency between the English website and the Japan website. I had my Steelfish with me, which is 44mm diameter, and I am sure the Seawolf is bigger.
My real curiosity lies in the lug width, I cannot find it anywhere. I wish that I had held it beside my Steelfish to compare. The bracelet seemed more like that of the Super Avenger. The whole watch seemed massive to me, but a real beauty.
Cheers,
Carl
