Has anyone got any photos of standard 24mm panerai style straps on BR01 / BR03s? Also are there any Panerai owners that have put their straps onto B&R instruments?

I take it you need a slightly thinner strap - ie. about 3mm to fit as the lugs are nearer on a B&R. I have just bought a Simona PAV style strap which is similar in width to the PAM OEM's which I am hoping will fit.

I actually like the style of straight straps on the watches, especially on the 03 as there's not as much distance. What does everyone else think?

I don't exactly follow your question...but yes, any 24mm strap will fit. Personally, I think a non-tapered strap looks funny or completely out of place on the BR01 or BR03. The tapered strap kind of helps reduce the visual heft of the square shape by slowly tapering the strap towards the buckle. You lose that completely with a regular strap.

^^^What he said. Also Panerai strap is really thick on the lug and i don't think it will fit our lug since it's pretty short.

To be honest, I don't quite like the look of a thinner strap which fits just between the lugs. I personally like the look of straps that provide the extra material to be flush with the outside edge of the lug. Otherwise, IMO, it makes the watch itself look a little too clunky.

Unfortunately, these watches seem to take a custom strap. I am not aware of an "off the shelf" strap from anyone that isn't $150 or more.

altstraps sells straps for B&R starting from $85, I believe.
I had mine custom-made for less than $135 shipped :)
