Gentlemen,

I recently visited in local watchdealer and was amazed that he offered only bit over 1200$ for my watchco sm300. He said that he recently sold real 1965 vintage piece for 1300$ for his client. Needless to say i was amazed of such low prices, at least i allways thought vintage SM300 go well over 1500$ ? What do you think?

Recently one real vintage sm300 went like 3000$ or more in bay as I remember.

Watchco SM300s with date are now selling for AU $3000 on their site.
A dealer is not going to give you retail on a watch.
Could be a lot of reasons why it sold so cheap. A genuine would have sold much more on eBay.
I'd also be suspicious of the vintage he sold. So many fakes & frankens out there. You don't know what it looked like.

Hi -

He's quoting you wholesale prices: he wants to buy it at that price and then sell it at retail prices.

It's part of his business. If you really want to sell it across the counter, that's his offer. If you don't want to sell it at that price, try selling it elsewhere, but you'll have to invest your time and effort then to sell it.

Joe got a deal on his Watchco I believe ~ $1500 USD. IMHO if you are in the market for a SM300, Watchco is the only way to fly. They sell for $2600 WHEN they are available.

The vintage pieces go for, depending on condition/authenticity, around the $2k mark...

Anthony, I'll give you $1200 for your Watchco

Yes- this would be my estimate as well. 2600$ for a new Watchco (no date), 1800-2000 for preowned.
