Ninety years young and still a ticking. Great presence and patina but the case is in a bit of trouble.

ROLEX Small Mens Wristwatch.-
Circa: 1915/20's
Winding : Manual
Lug width: 17 mm
Metal : Silver 0.935
Measurements: 29 mm approx in diameter from 3 oclock to 9 oclock.
Bracelet Reference: n/a
Case Reference: n/a
Case Serial Number: 11318
Movement Serial Number: n/a
Calibre: n/a
Working Condition: YES.
NOT RECENTLY SERVICED, TIMED OR REGULATED.:
Overall Condition of Case: Very good. Apart from tarnishing of Silver, hairline scratches, and bent hinges / lugs. A polish and ultrasonic will do very well.
Overall Condition of Dial: Poor. Cracks on enamel dials
Overall Condition of Bracelet:n/a

Interesting Rolex.

The movement is different from many movements of that era. Most early 1900s movements I've seen have the balance wheel directly across from the stem.

I don't see anything matching the movement in the Ranfft database


Also, the hallmark doesn't really match the UK hallmarks and I don't have info about other countries hallmark systems for silver

The movement is different from many movements of that era. Most early 1900s movements I've seen have the balance wheel directly across from the stem.Well spotted. This movement was designed to have the seconds sub-dial opposite the stem. Given its size it was probably intended for a pendant watch. For reasons of simple elegance, the seconds dial has been deleted from this wristwatch.
