Hi,

I have an early 1900's pocket watch and the inside has rusted beyond repair. The watch was my great grandfather's and was made by Elgin Natl. Watch Co.

I was wondering if there was any way to get it repaired. Is there a good and reputable vintage watch repair facility I can send it to?

Thank you very much for your help,

-Quinn

THanks for posting and welcome.
Probably it's going to be far more expensive than the watch is worth if it's badly rusted. It might be possible to find a replacement movement.
Check in our sub-forum "Links and Articles" for AWCI or NAWCC members in your area.

If the serial number on the movement was posted, the movement can be identified

True and I forgot to mention that. We certainly can help with ID on an Elgin and provide some idea of how easy or difficult it'll be to find a replacement.
