Hello:
I am new to the forum..first post. I have recently purchased an Omega Aqua Terra Automatic Chrono 2812.30.37 and am having problems keeping the watch running. Does taking the watch off here and there on a daily basis significantly effect power storage? (For instance, I wound the watch 30 times yesterday morning and wore it 2 hours..took it off for a few hours at work, put it back on and a few hours later took it off again for 2 hours..put it back on and went to bed...today it stopped and I had to rewind it again)

Welcome aboard abg123.
You have made a great choice with your AT. Love the blue hands.

To answer your question, I think your watch is faulty.
I'll let the pros here correct me if I'm wrong, but your AT has a 52 hours power reserve.
So winding it fully and putting it down should have it running for at least that time.

Now, since it's a new watch, I would wear it often for the first week or two just to "break it in" and then see.
If you see no change, then send it back to Omega for them to fix the issue.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Nice AT! Looking great on leather.

Wind it around fifty times (or until you hear the faint clicking of the overwind protection) and you are looking at 42 or so hours of operation sat on your desk.
Any less than forty in a new watch and you simply take it back.

If everything else is working properly it is probably a fault with the mainspring.

I stil think the blue silver combination is the classic AT. Congratulations on your fine taste.

Well..I have determined that the watch has a problem, and this being an Ebay purchase the seller has agreed to repair the watch at his expense. The seller has an OUTSTANDING reputation w/ very high end watches out of Beverly Hills CA...feedback is 100% positive w/ well over 500 feedbacks.
I understand watches do have problems, but should I be satisfied w/ this watch after it needs a repair? I bought the watch as "Like new in Box" w/out papers. and paid 2300 dollars...what I thought was a decent price for the watch..as it was in perfect condition(or so I thought) I certainly have little doubts as to its authenticity.
Thoughts?

You could have bought it new and had the same problem. Personally I would be happy if the watch is repaired properly. I might ask the seller to pick up the return postage.
