Hello All,

I thought there might be some interest here to see our newest limited edition watch, which is based on the Ball Secometer pocketwatches from the 1920s. Enjoy!

Ball is an interesting company. The post referenced is worth a look see if only for the opening photo.

Anyone know what 'secometer' means? It appears the company no longer makes any pocket watches. But they do have a watch with a Montgomery dial.

I suppose it's a marketing term based on the fact that the seconds count is more like a meter than a subdial.

Back in the 1920s "secometer" watches were common on 12 size mens' watches.

The original Ball company never made watches, but had PWs made for them by Waltham, Hamilton and others. The 999 made by Hamilton was famous. The damaskeening on Balls was unique as was the marking on the dials.
