inherited an old omega seamaster from my father that was not working. went to torneau for an estimate for repairs. was this a good idea? if not what do you recommend doing. i am new to the world of watches. all i know about the watch is it is an automatic seamaster about 30 years old, gold with a magnifying lens over the date.my mother recently found another old omega in the drawer in very poor shape i will try to post a picture and ask for more advice.

I would stay away from Torneau. They are just a middleman and will charge you a lot extra for something you can do yourself. Why not post a request for a watchmaker recommendation in your area ? Then get an estimate from him. If that does not work, maybe one you can mail your watch to.
