Hi, I am new to automatic watches and just purchase an Omega 2254.5, I am completely jazzed about it and am patiently waiting for delivery.

I plan on wearing this watch daily; what do you all use to store your watches at night? I was thinking about grabbing a watch case/winder on the bay. I do plan on addiding other Omega's down the line. What do you guys use (pic's?) Any affordable recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Stay away from the cheap ones from China on the bay. They usually break down in less then a year.[I said usually for the ones that still work]They are also loud. The ones I have owned are SWI and would of recommended but not any more. They are also starting to break down and are about 2 years old.Just sent one back for repair
the other day. The SWI's are not cheap run from $275 for a 3 head and motor to $450 for a 6 head and motor. The ones I would only buy now are either Orbital and
Rotolution these are expensive but should last for years. Here is a photo of my 6 and 3 head winders by SWI.Try to buy ones that let you program direction clockwise/counter clockwise/counter then clock and rotation per day from minimum 650 per day to at least 950 rotations per day.

My nice watches go into a nice wooden, six-watch display case my wife bought me for Christmas a few years ago...not sure where she got it, but it is nicer than the typical faux-wood, painted plastic display boxes you find on the 'bay.

I have a cheap, single watch winder which has served me well for a year (it was a gift)...but I wouldn't bother spending money on a nice winder unless I had a watch with complications that are difficult to reset. And I don't have any of those at the moment.

I guess my point is that if I were you, I'd get a nice display box. As casyjones's post indicates, nice winders are expensive...I'd save that money for the watch fund if I were you.

Yep, I'd go for the nice box also. Cheap winders are a waste of money.
