After I received a pm regarding the Skyracer, I checked to see what I could find. Here's what Breitling had to say about this new model:

the reference to "Barenia leather" for the calf straps. Probably only mentioned in the press releases I suppose. The integrated "rack and pinion" sliderule seems to lend more credence to the Skyracer being a replacement for the B-2 as opposed to the Herc which is what I have read often on the fora. With the Airwolf replacing the B-1 I would have supposed the Skyracer was the B-2 replacement but perhaps you can confirm? :-S

I think there will be a lot of lemania 5100 fans out there cheering the advent of a Breitling movement with a central minute hand for the chrono function. I have a feeling the cal 27 will shortly be legend.

I've been asked about the size of the Skyracer. What happened to the second schimatic drawing with all that good info?
