Hi all. Got this one last night. It appears to to have a Cal. 715 movement. Was wondering if someone can tell me more about it. Tried googling and not much came up. Seller also disclosed that the winding pinion is a "little quircky". How bad is this. And finaly, please give me your suggestions on what strap will go nicely with this watch.
Many thanks in advance.

The Oris 715 is a pin-lever movement and came in 7 & 17 jewel versions. Pin-lever movements (which Oris was restricted to at the time) are not considered as good as lever escapement movements.

The winding issue (if that's what he means) could be a problem requiring repair. Replacement parts for this movement may still be available but it's not so good getting a watch that requires immediate repair.

Good luck.

Thanks JimH for your info. Will see how this turns up. This could turn out to be my first lemon.
