I would love to see more 38/39 mm watches and hoping Bill will consider reissuing the Quad 10 in a 38 or 39 mm size with lug length proportional. Any takers on this notion?

I would be interested in a 39mm or so version with short lugs.

Note the interest in Kingston project; I think part of that is the return to thinking that a 38/39 mm size is preferred by many; the 50-52 lug length on the Quad 10 was a bit large for my 6 3/4 wrist and I flipped mine because of that.

I hate to disagree with you on the Kingston, but I think the reason it's being met with so much excitement is that it's such a cool, popular and iconic design that has never really been interpreted in an affordable and well-made piece.

Actually, I wear my Quad 10 a lot and one of the things I like about it is the long lugs. I personally like the 40mm size, but I can see why the length of the lugs doesn't work for everyone. That being said, my thoughts on a new Quad 10 would be:

40mm preferred, but no smaller than 39
somewhat narrower bezel
larger crown in relation to the case like on the IWC and JLC MK11s

+1 Mike. I'd buy the Quad 10 in a second if it was available again. Ryan

can I see a pic of the Quad 10, I don't think I've ever seen one.

Agreed...smaller and flatter. Watches have become bigger and thicker to the point the 'norm' is a huge hunk hanging on your wrist.

38-39mm and 8mm thick or so is perfect IMHO. Also flatter crowns. Crowns do not need to stick out 10mm to be effective.

Some other retailers of pilot watches offer an "M" size to their advantage, by M size I mean 38/39 dial and no more than 47 or so lug length. Hope Bill will consider this for the future.

These are some of the best images I have found of the Quad 10.
