Ian,

It might be yet another dumb question to ask re: the Valkyrie, but ask I must. Can you explain the water resistance feature? Considering the crown doesn't lock down, I'm a bit perplexed by this bit if magic.

Thanks!

G'day Bad Voodoo,

First of all, welcome to our forum.
Secondly, there's no such thing as dumb questions here mate, so please feel free to ask anytime.:-!

The Valkyrie is rated at 100 meters water resistance. Typically, the crown is not required to be a screw down crown for this rating.
However, once the Valkyrie's crown is pushed down flush with the case, you can rest assured that it is sealed against moisture and water activities as per the following recommendations:

Rating: 100 meters

-water splashes
-rain
-strong exposure to water (eg. washing hands under tap, shower)

Rating: 150 meters

-water splashes
-rain
-strong exposure to water (eg. washing hands under tap, shower)
-swimming, freediving

200 meters, 500 meters

-water splashes
-rain
-strong exposure to water (eg. washing hands under tap, shower)
-swimming, freediving
-scuba diving

Rating: 1000 meters +

-water splashes
-rain
-strong exposure to water (eg. washing hands under tap, shower)
-swimming, freediving
-scuba diving
-compression diving / saturation diving

I hope that the above helps to clarify the water resistance ratings for my watches.
Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to ask,

Best Regards,

Ian Kremke
