Since there are lots of threads regarding the size of the PO, I was wondering the split on the forum between the PO 42mm and the 45.5mm.
After a long and painful hesitation I went for the 42mm.
Your turn, shoot :-!

I went with the 45.5.
I have 7.75 wrist and I am a bigger guy.
I struggled with the sizing at the AD but I felt that the 42 wore a bit small on me. I had both of them on either hand and had the opportunity to look into a full mirror with them.
The 45.5 just seemed better proportioned on me.
I also prefer the bezel on the 45 a bit more.

45.5 Black/White for the first one 2 years ago...then added a 42 orange/orange recently:-) I voted 45.5 since that's the one I wanted first.
7.5" wrist here. Hard to pick a favorite between the two...45.5 has a nice big presence, but the 42 is more easy wearing.

I just put a deposit on 42mm yesterday. AD said out of stock and will take 1-2 months for the watch to arrive from swiss.
They also said 45mm were bought mostly by westerner, and 42mm by asians.

7.25ish wrist. I went with the 42 although I think I could pull off the 45.5 as well.

If I were to get a PO it would be the 42 mm one as the 45.5 is just too big on my wrist. Cheers, Bill P.

45.5 on 7.25 wrist.
I am 6 foot 1 and weigh 230
Love it and don't regret it for a minute. If you think the 45.5 feels just a bit big put it on a mesh as it brings down the size

Congrats on the purchase JC, but I have to disagree with your AD's assessment regarding who buys what size. In the AD I work for, we get a mix of both local and overseas customers and it's pretty evenly spread between the 45.5 and the 42. I get a lot of Asian guys who prefer the 45.5 because big watches are uh...'big' in Asia.
Whereas here in Melbourne, I've noticed a slight shift away from the 45.5 towards the 42. A year ago, 6 or 7 out of ten Planet Oceans that we sold were the large model. Nowadays, it's pretty much split 50/50. I dare say that "Quantum of Solace" may have had a lot to do with that.

Here's the pic which is on Treebeard's screen, 45.5mm on my 6.5" wrist, as we often say round here, (when it comes to wrists), it's the shape that counts, not the size!

This strap is a ZRC (Zuccolo Rochet & Co) 20mm black calfskin.

Pretty thick strap which goes well with the Planet Ocean. Have another one.

As much as I like Omega's OEM straps, I just cannot spend $300+ for them.

Recommended retail here in Australia is approx $70.ooAUD from memory. Very cheap when converted into the unshakeable British Pound.

45.5mm - sort of have girlish wrists, but I stand at 6'7" and so the 42mm wouldn't quite look right. ;-)

45.5mm here on my 6.5" wrists, tried the 42" on but it felt small compared to my Seamaster chrono as it sits flatter to the wrist.

Hey bahn, from the wrist shot only, it seems to look just fine, your considerable height notwithstanding. :-)
Hey Inked, me too, 6.5" and 45.5mm. Seems to work for me. And I am a lot shorter than our friend bahn! Lower profile in a strap (Hirsch Carbon), but I like it fine on bracelet too.

I had casino royale ltd edition (45.5 ) and my wrist is 7inch, I couldn't get used to it and sold it, but now I long for the 42mm!! Whats wrong with me and these damn omegas. i thought when I bought my rolex sub, my longing for omegas would go away...I was wrong!
45mm looks cool, but so does 42, so...get one of each!

Yeaaa! The 45.5 is catching up. :-!
I know, I know...it's childish. But I'm really loving this poll. It's been dead on since the beginning, then the 42 looked like it took a decisive lead, and now the 45.5 is once again close on its heels.
Go 45!
