Ernie previously had posted an announcement about their new FL 401 (http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=236445&highlight=Favre-Leuba). It is the first new 36000 bph movement since the '70s... quite a feat!!

And here is a little history (http://journal.hautehorlogerie.org/en/passion/in-history/favre-leuba-history-that-reaches-back-291-years.html)about the company...

I don't know much about Favre-Leuba...yet

But glad to see a new forum dedicated to this brand, and looking forward to learning more about it!

Wow, an FL forum. I never would have imagined.

I've got a Duomatic, Sea Raider and Harpoon 2. Anyone else got an FL?

Best wishes to the Favre-Leuba forum. It was a very popular brand here in the sixties. I have a Sea Chief hand wind model from the sixties which originally belonged to an uncle of mine. Still going great guns, here it is:

It's good to see this brand in production. I remember being fascinated by the twin barrel movement a couple of years ago.

Very nice to see the FB forum.

I didn't know that FB was an independent - thought it was part of the LVHM cartel along with TAG-Heuer, is this not the case?

I have a few, a Sea Raider II 36,000 and a womens version with the slower mechanism, a duomatic and an alarm model, (not the memo raider, out of my price bracket!). The Sea Raider uses the FL1164 36,000 movement but it needs a cannon pinion, anyone know where I can get one?

I have one, a "Daymatic" with a Duomatic automatic movement inside, which has the sand clock and 269 under the balance wheel. I think the crown is wrong though, it woŽnt wind and set properly.

Hi Gansan, Nice gold F-L you have there. 16mm strap, right? I would like to suggest, try dark or light brown leather straps, I'm sure it looks more handsome F-L on your wrist. Honest suggestion..
