Here's mine...on a Greg Steven's Metta Catherina strap. I love the look...vintage (the leather is 200 years old after all), but still current. Personally, I think it's the hands - which are more in keeping with current FF models.

I really like that look. Is the second (Sweep) hand silver as well? I see that when you try and configure the sabre hand with any of the silver sweep hands it states that they are too long for the Stingray dial.

The 50th Anniversary Edition. Look near bottom of this thread for pics.

I think it's the best looking of the newer models. It may not be strictly current, I suppose, but it's what I was going for.

No, the sweep hand is white. I wasn't sure about that at first, but went with it after looking a few others configured similarly. Silver in the same style may have been a better choice, if it were available, but I think it actually adds something to the watch. I like it a lot, but then, I bought it.

Here's another shot. I'm new to the forum and to this sort of photography. A lot harder than I expected. This may show the sweep a little better. It should also show that it still fits well under a shirt sleeve even at it's size and with a very thick strap.

It does look pretty good. The sabre hands is the look I am considering. I have to find out if there is any possibility of a silver sweep hand working. The website says that it is too long. I wonder if that means too long as it passes the minute tracks and looks out of place or that it does not fit with the chapter ring?
I am guessing the latter, otherwise some of the sweep hands could be trimmed a bit.

Yes, the 50th Anniversary model would be the last watch I'd buy (maybe), if I could find it and afford it. It's beautiful! You know, Bill used to do an acrylic bezel as an option on the first custom Stingrays... I actually have two - each with different dial / hand options. I had originally wanted to go that way with my first because of how "rich" it looked, but I remember there being some issue (I thought) with the lume and submersing it, so I opted out. Wish I hadn't now.

I had the same idea awhile back, and asked Bill about the silver sweep being too long. He said he could clip the extension for me to circumvent the length issue. Obviously you'd have to personally confirm that he will still do that.
Like I said, I had the same idea, to get as close to the near perfect, but "unobtainium" 50th anniversary FF as possible, by using a 3-6-9-12 Stingray dial, sabre hands, and a Stingray 70 bezel. That's on hold for a little bit though; with a LRRP in the pipeline, a Kingston on deposit, and the thought of a TR-900 catching my fancy, I need to space this stuff out a little bit.b-)

If you go to the Mark II site and log in, look at the limited editions page. The TR-900 is an homage like the Kingston, but based on the Tornek-Rayville military dive watch of the early '60s, something like the earliest BP Fifty Fathoms watches. The TR-900 had a circular indicator on the dial that changed color if moisture got into the case, though Bill's shows a circular printing in blue in that place, which is also historically accurate, or so I'm told. Note though: Bill actually bought the Tornek-Rayville registered trademark, so this homage will actually have the original's brand name on the dial.
The problem is, there are way too many Mark II watches that I want; I could easily fill up a watch box with that brand alone if I don't set limits for myself.

I am going to start with the FF homage as shown in Noels thread, but try to get the silver sweep hand....
as i mentioned before...would prefer a ceramic bezel..this would resemble the original and i think be alot less prone to scratches.

I think I may have missed something along the thread; is there a ceramic or lumed sapphire bezel option for Stingrays, or an after market insert available? A lumed insert woulld truly rock!
I know there was an acrylic insert option in the beginning, that was actually lumed like the FF anniversary model, but Bill discontinued it because of the low process yield and excessive work. Plus, as someone probably pointed out along the way, acrylic is easy to scratch up.

That's lovely. Kind of a FF and Seamaster combo; it works very well.
