Hello Everyone --
I mostly collect Omega, but over the years have picked up some interesting pieces, and I was hoping some of you could help blank in the fills...

One is a 10K GF Longines manual and all it says on the back is “Use Admiral Wrench” and ”10K GF“ and ”1200“ -- I did not open the case, so it's pretty limited info.

The other two are Gruen Precision -- seem to be 50-60-ish, one with a tapestry dial and retro-ish numerals, the other with a painted dial. Both in great condition (they came in the original boxes) with minimal wear. The one with the painted dial has a blemish in the nickel or whatever on the lower right ug and bezel -- but when I opened that one up, the movement was stunning... clean, untouched, beautiful. With those watches, one (the tapestry) is a 552 RSS and the other is a 510 RSS -- and both have a GXC notation.

I've uploaded pictures and will attach them if it's not beyond my capacity to do so. I'm looking forward to whatever thoughts you may have. Thanks in advance --

On the Longines, the movement comes out by removing the crystal and pulling off the crown. You will need a crystal remover to get to the movement.

Nice Gruens... John F will know more but they may be a little too new for him.

Hi -

Nice Gruens!

The 510 RSS is a movement from the mid-1950s that was designed for watches with strongly curved faces or pie-pan style faces. It's a 11.5''' line calibre, 17 jewels, 18'000 bph, ca 42 hour reserve.

The 552 RSS is basically the same, but from a later date: this is more from the mid-1960s.

Both are basically very solid performers, if unspectacular: just classic 1950s Swiss watch technology done very well.

And they're really nice watches too. :-) Yours are cosmetically quite nice.
