Hello Favre-Leuba Lovers. I'am new - I read alot of the forums but I don't post very often, I just noticed this NEW forum dedicated to Favre Leuba - Great! I have a 1950 - 1960 TWIN POWER. I purchased it a few years ago in NOS condition, I don't wear it often and I don't have pics on my computer. I will get the digi camera out and take some pics soon and post them. I can describe the watch - it is small in diameter only 34mm with crown, SS case, black dial with gold hour-minute markers, gold hands with the slightest lume applied. The words Favre-Leuba with the Insigna and Geneve at 12:00 and the word Twin Power at 6:00. The case back is in perfect condition, I don't have the original strap - matter of fact I don't remember what I did with the strap that came with the watch. I put a new black leather on it that I thought matched. I don't know that much about the manual movement only that it is somewhat rare. It is extremely accurate. Anyone with info on the movement would be great to hear from you. I will post Pics within the week. Thanks -- Buck:-)

OK - I took some Pics - not the best but not bad for me!!:-!

Isn't the 'twin power' a design with two mainsprings in order to increase power reserve?

That's the one Eeeb,

and here's the very movement courtesy of my FL spares box:

You can see the relatively massive jewels for the two mainsprings underneath the 'V' and 'U' of Favre Leuba. Pretty little movement isn't it.

Personally I wouldn't call them rare though

Well, maybe not rare but relatively unique!! Nice idea. FL has, I believe, revived it on one of their new models.

Someone is making a 8 day power reserve based on twin mainsprings... FL? GP?

Eberhard has an eight day based upon a peseux 701. Not sure about the twin barrel though...

It has the twin power mainspring with added facility of an automatic winder. See Pics..
This is the limit of my knowledge if any member can provide further info (movement model, rarity if any etc.) i would be obliged. Still going strong.

I am also new to the forum. I just noticed the following on Favre-Leuba's site:

1965
Creation of the twin power movement. 50 hours power reserve.
