Hi Robert,

Actually, it's the motion of your wrist that will keep the watch wound, so as long as you are moving your wrist around a lot throughout the day, your watch will stay wound. Many days I'm chained to my desk and computer all day, and I've never had a problem keeping my watches wound. ;-)

Just make sure that you have wound the watch fully when you first received it. When you unscrew the crown, keep turning it about 40-50 full revolutions until you hear a clicking noise as you turn. This is the overwind protection mechanism engaging, meaning your watch is fully wound. Once the watch is fully wound, the daily motion of your wrist will keep it wound.

Enjoy your new Seamaster!! :-!

Congradulations! :-! the smp has one of the most efficient winding systems. Like John I also sits in a desk all day & the smp is usually fully wound at the end of the day.

Hi Robert

I am in same situation. Being in a wheelchair I don't get much movement.

I have to wind my watch maually every 2 days I have found. This is based on how I am of course. I am in a powerchair, so the rotor doesn't get any exercise from pushing the chair even. I once had same SMP as yours. I think I recall that lasting a bit more than 2 days. It's going to need a wind every now & then, but don't let that worry you. Enjoy your watch!
